It has extremely high safety rating (which was the most important part to me) and it definately aligns the seatbelt where it needs to be. It's also super cute and my daughter says it's comfortable. For that I give it a 5. However, there are 2 design flaws - first is that the arm rest is fixed so my child cannot buckle herself in as the arm rest blocks her ability to do so. Second is that the guide where the seat belt goes through (the shoulder guide) is a total pain in the you know what to put the seat belt through...and you cannot leave the seat belt in this guide: you have to take it out each time to retract the seatbelt and then after you reach over to lock your kids seatbelt (because they can't do it themselves) you then have to reguide it through. More importantly, it's top rated for safety and use-ability. The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is because I read somewhere that part of why it rated so high was that it fits properly in most vehicles. I tried to put it in our Toyota Camry and it would only sit directly upright. The manual says the back of the seat should be SLIGHTLY reclined and not at a 90 degree angle. It was at a 90 degree angle. I then played musical car seats and put it in my Hyundai Santa Fe. I bought her this seat and the belt goes right across her lap, and properly on her shoulder. The seat also holds the belt in place really well, so I don't have to worry about it sliding around. She says it is really comfortable, it has tons of padding. She has only used it twice and can already buckle and unbuckle it by herself. The pattern is really cute, too. |
